We are delighted to welcome you back to our Sound & Silence Spring Gathering, a dynamic movement, music and meditation retreat in Greece from 19-25 May 2024. Our last couple of spring retreats were profound and even life-changing, and in fact many participants said it was the most beautiful event they had ever attended.
Next May, 50 participants will gather again on the mythical island of Corfu to wash off the winter blues and fully awaken our Spring bodies, to enjoy ecstatic embodiment practices and enchanting music. |

Based on our original Sound & Silence Festival, and our powerful formula: "Move - Listen - Be", this profound journey focuses on the creative process, calling together highly trained group facilitators and skilled musicians who will help us to unlock hidden gifts, and guide us towards finding our own natural rhythms. A variety of Yoga classes and morning practices to start every day, followed by equally diverse and transformational workshops and activities. We keep the afternoons mostly free so you can integrate your experiences while also enjoying the beautiful beaches. Then at night, we reconvene to enjoy a mix of dances, performances and concerts.

Our home for the week is the Corfu Buddha Hall, one of Europe's premier retreat centers. Spacious and sitting on a mountain top blanketed with olive and cypress trees, the Buddha Hall offers not only incredible views of mountain and sea, but a rare combination of excellent group spaces. One of the only retreat centers in Europe that boasts a large air-conditioned indoor space, as well as a sizeable outdoor dance/music venue. You can be sure that we will make a lot of magic in both of them. This place is exquisite!

Side Note - while the Buddha Hall easily fits 100+ people, we are limiting our group size to 50 people, so that we can enjoy lots of space to fly around the dance floor!

Prices above DO NOT include: Flights, accommodation, and airport transfers. Except for the opening evening, no other dinners are provided. Participants are encouraged to eat dinners at one of the many good restaurants by the beach in Arillas.

Accommodation
Simple rooms in Arillas average €35-€45 per night, but more luxurious options can be found for €100 and more. Generally, the majority of our guests prefer to stay in the village near the beach where there is an abundance of accommodation options.
The Buddha Hall has a few simple rooms on the premises and they book fast. If you wish to stay at the Buddha Hall, please contact their office as soon as possible: office@corfubuddhahall.com
If you would like assistance booking a room in Arillas, we recommend Green Corfu, a local tourist office that specializes in finding the best room for you. They take a small fee for this service: www.greencorfu.com/

Two parts - Airport Transportation and Local Transportation.
Airport Transportation - Arillas is located about 50 mins from the airport, and an airport taxi is about €75 one way. It's a bit less if you pre-book an airport shuttle. It's considerably less if you share a taxi/shuttle with another participant. 3-4 weeks before the gathering starts, we always share shuttle contacts, and we also create a shared google spreadsheet to help you connect with other participants to share rides.
Local Transportation - The Buddha Hall is sitting on the tallest peak in the area, about 2.5kms from Arillas Beach. A local shuttle service is included in the cost of your booking, and goes between the BH and Arillas Beach several times daily. However, the timings of the shuttle are fixed and limited. For those who want more freedom and flexibility, we recommend people rent and share cars, scooters or electric bicycles. We provide recommendations for good local contacts after you complete your booking.

CAncellation Policy
All sales are final, and the initial 50% deposit is not refundable. However, we will allow you to either gift or sell your booking to someone else. Or if you prefer, we will give you the option to move your booking to one of our future events (within one calendar year).

Photography & Videography
This event will be photographed and filmed. Photography and videography are art forms that we cherish and utilize to capture all of our special moments together. As such, we have made it an essential and celebrated part of our process. So by booking your space with us, you are agreeing to be seen in all your glory. You can request to not be in the foreground of pictures, and we will also honor any request to have a photo removed. However, the pictures are always tasteful, and no one in our 10 year history has ever requested to have their photo removed :)
Food Details
The Buddha Hall is famous for it's amazing food! Healthy, delicious and diverse (international) vegetarian buffet served twice daily. Included in the Buddha Hall package is an abundant breakfast and lunch that will nourish you for 5 days of gastronomic heaven, with one dinner on the opening evening (Sunday) and an extra breakfast on the final morning (Saturday). Mostly organic veg with plenty of vegan options.
- Catering to special diets is possible too, please notify Mukta in the BH office if you have special needs.
- Note on dinners: We recommend our guests to enjoy one of the many beachfront restaurants and their beautiful sunsets in Arillas.
- Children’s Discounted Food package: below 5: no charge, below 10: 75% discount, below 15: 50% discount.

Can I bring my children with me?
Of course! We welcome children of all ages to our gatherings, with the provision that they are to be attended by their parents at all times, especially by the swimming pool.
Legally we must say - It is not possible to leave children unattended on site.
- Children 17 and under have free entry.
- No baby sitting will be provided, parents are 100% responsible for their own children.
- If we have a half dozen or more children, we will assign a volunteer the role to be child minder.
- If children are unable to attend the sessions in Buddha Hall, parents need to arrange their own child-care.
- Discounted Children’s Food package: below 5: no charge, below 10: 75% discount, below 15: 50% discount.
Please note: While we wish for the children to have fun and feel free, we also ask parents to help us maintain the meditative aspect of The Gathering, especially at night during concerts and those sensitive moments of beautiful silence between songs and sessions. ~ For the meditation workshops, please check first with the teacher to make sure it's child appropriate.

What About The Program?
We are still working on the program, which we plan to reveal in the Winter. For now, check out last year's program below to give you an idea of the fullness and richness of our time together.
In 2024, about half of our artist and teacher team will return, with some fresh new faces joining our next adventure. It's going to be juicy!!

While deep healing and transformation is always a natural and delightful part of our journey together, we seek to also enjoy simple being, sparks of creativity and the joys of friendship and community. Our focus will be on finding a balance between sound & silence, movement and stillness, and playful engagement.

Not as rigid as a retreat, not as loose as a festival, we will find our flow somewhere in the rhythmic middle. We look forward to celebrating some blissful late Spring days on the island we all love so much. Singing, dancing, meditating, enjoying sunsets, starry skies, and amazing food are all predictable.
