Can I arrive early or stay more days after the gathering is finished? Unfortunately, No. We highly recommend that you spend as much time exploring the natural beauty of Portugal as possible, however, it will not be possible to stay on the property outside of our 7 days together. For early arrivals and late departures, you will need to book a hotel on those nights. Please email us for assistance. ~ Check in time will be 15:00pm on 8 August and check out is 12:00pm on 15th August.
How do I get to the gathering? It is best to fly into Faro International Airport (FAO), but Lisbon is also possible, although a bit farther away. We recommend checking www.skyscanner.com for very inexpensive fares from all over Europe and the rest of the world. You can easily check many dates and departure cities and set price alerts. The best deals are usually found 1-2 months before you plan to fly. We found RT flights from many European capitals for less than 100 euros in August. Awakeland is located near the small town of Moinho da Rocha about 1 hour by car from Faro and 3 hours from Lisbon (See map)

We recommend that you wait to book your ride from the airport, as we are looking into a shuttle service to save our guests time, money and energy.
Uber and Taxi's are widely available, however, they can be quite expensive. Car rental is also an option and not a bad one, especially if you wish to spend your afternoons at the beach or explore the surrounding villages
We will be sharing more details on this section soon, so please hold tight.
What are the house rules?
Come in Silence, Go in Silence. We ask that everyone honor our evening and morning times as sacred and silent time. So immediately following all evening concerts, which will typically end around 10:30pm, we ask that everyone enter silence until 9:00am which is about halfway through our breakfast time.
Please respect the boundaries of others. S&S can be a juicy and wild celebration, but it also is a deep process which can bring up some strong emotions in some people. Please be supportive but also give space to people when needed.
No alcohol, drugs or sacred medicines of any kind allowed. We kindly ask that you join us in a clear and sober state of mind. There will be plenty of euphoria without the need of any substances
No garbage please. Especially plastics. Please help us to maintain a clean and sustainable environment. If you can't help it, please take all refuse with you when you leave and dispose of it in a proper rubbish bin.
Can I bring my children with me? Of course! We welcome children of all ages to our gatherings. Children 7 and under are totally free. Kids 8-17 have a free S&S ticket but need to pay full price for food and accommodation. Parents will also be asked to sign a liability waiver form, and are asked to attend their children at all times.. And while we want children to have fun and feel free, we also ask parents to help us maintain the meditative aspect of S&S, especially those moments of beautiful silence between songs and sessions. ~ For the meditation workshops, please check first with the teacher to make sure children are allowed.
Will there be a children's program? If we have enough children, we will offer a light Children's Program with Art, Dance, Yoga etc in the afternoons. If you would like your child(ren) to join the program, please let us know during your booking process. This is important to enable us to manage the group size.
What should I bring?

Please bring an all white outfit for our special full moon celebration evening
Please write your intentions on paper to burn at the ritual fire on the Full Moon Spring Equinox

Please bring your own water bottle (The venue provides fresh filtered water, but you must bring your own reusable container)
Bathing suit, beach towel, sun lotion, sun glasses, sun hat
