Gabriela believes that "dance is a state of being, it is a form of communication with myself and with the other, it is the pulse of every form of life that connects everything with the present - the moment is movement.” Dancing since birth, Gabriela believes that the body itself is nature and the centre of action for senses, emotions, feelings and all connections with the world. It is through dance that her research reaches a greater meaning. Owner of an open mind, she seeks in the encounter with the other a more comprehensive path, through the body, movement, differences and education. Traveling around the world and learning constantly (body awareness, movement and consciousness methods, tribal and contemporary african dance, flamenco, ballet…)
Notes on her class: The Movement with African Connection workshop is a fusion of tribal african dance with a contemporary view, connected with body consciousness and movement awareness. The dance vocabulary that we explore comes from the West African Coast (Burkina Faso, Guiné Conakry and Senegal), Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Contemporary. It is a very strong and energetic dance class, where we explore the connection to the earth and all the elements, focusing on the connection with the roots that links us with Mother Earth and makes us stay fully aware and feel strong - deeply within the body and through movement. We practice physical coordination, memory, flexibility and emocional liberation until we feel the strong beat of our heart and enter into a conscious ecstatic place - always through the power of the drums and african music. This workshop take us to high levels of joy and energy, and doing it together we create a very powerful and collective moment, while dancing.

MOSE spends much of his time in Guatemala where cacao ceremonies, kirtan, and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style. It is here on Lake Atitlan that he founded the weekly SunSet Cacao Dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance in a container of deep intention free of alcohol. Having been nomadic since 2011, he has developed a sound all his own through interaction with cultures from around the world. He finds a way to fuse the organic elements of tribal traditions with modern production techniques in order to create an entrancing journey for both relaxed listeners and those eager to move their bodies.
Vanessa Calderón (Costa Rica) Directing: "A Moondance Journey "
This touching experiencewill take place under the full moon during the closing ceremony. The Moon Dance Ritual was born in Mexico, when the original grandmothers decoded and revived an old pre Colombian ceremony. It showed women dancing under the moon and praying with tobacco. Today there are circles in North, Central and South America and Europe. Led by female grandmothers and held by a central ceremonial drum, songs are sung to Creator, to the Moon, the Earth and all the elements to uplift and create a sacred safe circle to heal, to celebrate and to remember. Stories are shared, visions arrive, empowerment and healing happens and the mystical gates are opened. In the Moon Dance, the men have a very crucial role, they support the happening from the outside, keeping the central fire always burning, preparing the sweat lodges, serving tea and hot chocolate and take care of the kids. It is a very special and rewarding movement for all to be part of.
